Corporal punishment is common and legal in many countries. These booklets guide children, teachers and parents to help end the practice.

Unsaid was commissioned to completely redesign the learning material used by The Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children, including art direction, original illustration, layout, printing and localisation. We managed the translation and localised design for editions in Arabic, Bengali, French, Japanese, Mandarin, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Thai.

We produced three booklets: one specifically for children, one targeting teachers and a booklet of frequently asked questions. The booklets have since been used in workshops and schools in over 10 countries.

illustrations designed to work globally.

We worked with illustrator Katy Jackson to ensure the style and drawings would work across different cultures and religions. You can find Katy’s brilliant work at katyjackson.art and happyappledesign.co.uk.

End Corporal Punishment is part of the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children. Their website is a great place to learn more about preventing violence against children and how you can support this work.
